How to wear an aikido kimono (aikidogi)?
Aïkidogi is a training suit used to practice… aikido. In French-speaking countries, we refer to it as the “aikido kimono“. What makes it special? It has no seams on the back to prevent injury from falls.

The recipe for correct dressing is simple: the jacket is worn over the left lapel and must allow the practitioner easy access to the tanto (knife). The sleeves are fitted and shortened for added comfort. Pants generally reach above the ankle.
