Tozando has created a new kind of aikido gi using an innovative fiber called Unitika Pulper, combining the strengths of polyester and cotton. The fabric is treated with a plant called Yomogi or Japanese mugwort (Artememisia princeps) known for its antibacterial and anti-odour effects.
This aikido gi is traditionally made by Tozando tailors in Iwate, Japan.
Perfect for pairing with Yomogi Dogi, these lightweight aikido pants stay cool throughout practice and are particularly suitable for use in the warmer months.
Like all our aikido pants, they’ve been specially designed for aikido practice, with a double layer from the knee down for extra comfort and durability during suwari-waza.
