Daisho defends the fundamental values of the martial arts and, through its actions, aims to encourage commitment, sharing, mutual aid and exchange.

In ancestral martial arts, the Daisho is the pair of swords carried by the samurai, namely the katana and the wakizachi.

Etymologically, Daisho means “big/small”.
