Choosing your aikido belt
In aikido, you have two choices: white belt and black belt. The first is generally worn from the 6th to the 1st kyū. The second is used from first dan upwards. However, some dojos use colored belts. The objective? Define the level of the young practitioner.

This indispensable accessory will be with you for years to come. So it’s important that it doesn’t get in the way of your movements or falls. Choose a quality stitched belt!
