Daisho is an adventure that began 5 years ago! We’ve come a long way since the birth of this wonderful project. The idea began with a simple wish for Vincent Verdoot: to share his passion for martial arts. Mission accomplished! Every day, hundreds and hundreds of combat sports enthusiasts visit our website. The objective? Go in search of the equipment that will make the difference in your practice. So, thank you! Thank you to all our customers and partners, without whom this evolution would have been impossible.
Ready to immerse yourself in the fascinating story of a Budo lover? Let us tell you my story, or rather, our story…
“When I grow up, I want to look like Bruce LEE.”
It’s 8pm. Hop! Just enough time for Vincent to slip the videocassette of “La Fureur du dragon” (1972) into the video player and watch Bruce LEE ‘s prowess before going to sleep. He’s seen this film dozens of times. But he can’t get enough of these exceptional fight scenes. That’s where his interest in martial arts began.
Vincent’s martial path really began with Aikido, an art he discovered while on vacation at his grandfather’s when he was 10. Some time later, he really tried his hand at Aikido, which he practiced for several years, and also tried his hand at
Although he had always wanted to practice this discipline since childhood, Vincent started karate at the age of 27. When he was a child, karate didn’t get much press, and his parents were worried about him becoming a “little brawler”.
“Vince, we’d need to change the carpets in the dōjō, could you take care of that?”
Now an adult and Senpai, Vincent Verdoot is a member of the Carnières Karate Club. He helps beginner students (Kohai). At the same time, he works in the purchasing departments of major international industrial groups.
One day, his sensei Thierry Coupin asked him to contact shopkeepers toset up new tatamis. That’s it! And what if he combined his passion for the martial arts with his entrepreneurial vision? The Club de Carnières tatamis manufacturer asked him to become its distributor in Belgium. Thus was born the Daisho online store, scheduled to go live at the end of November 2019.
The arrival of Covid won’t stop this project! Rather, it was an opportunity to perfect the site’s marketing. One thing led to another, and e-commerce was built around equipment and products manufactured by well-known brands.
“How would you like to be the official distributor of the Adidas Sports brand?”
Tokaido, Hayate, Tozando… The online store is supported by several players in the field. In 2021, Daisho even became the first and only official Belgian distributor of the Adidas Combat Sports brand for Karate. The 3-stripes brand subsequently entrusted Daisho with the sale of equipment dedicated to other disciplines such as judo, boxing and MMA.
The Daisho e-commerce site caters for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners. You’ll find a wide range of products:
- Outfits (karategi, judogi, keikogi…) or kimonos,
- Protections,
- Black or coloured belts for different grades,

We evolve and grow alongside you, to continue to satisfy your needs. To respond even more effectively to market demands, we have recently expanded our stock by fitting out a large warehouse, with new offices and a brand-new showroom to welcome you in the best possible conditions.
The Daisho team is also thinking about the best way to have a limited impact on the environment. To this end, we called in a specialist in sustainable development. The renovation and fitting out of our building was carried out using upcycling and responsible materials.
