The JBB grading system: which belt to choose?
The way to assess a practitioner’s level differs slightly from other martial arts. In JBB, there is a specific gradation for children and adults.

The first group starts with a white belt, followed by grey, yellow, orange, green and, finally, blue. Adults start out with a white belt, followed by blue, purple, brown and finally black. Note that a system of bars symbolizes different levels between each belt passage.

Graduation is based either on an end-of-year examination, or on personal criteria studied by the person in charge of the academy.
