Tozando has created a new kind of aïkido gi using an innovative fiber called Unitika Pulper, combining the strengths of polyester and cotton. The fabric is treated with a plant called Yomogi or Japanese mugwort (Artememisia princeps) known for its antibacterial and anti-odour effects.
This aïkido gi is made in the traditional way by Tozando tailors in Iwate, Japan.
This aïkidogi featuring a reinforced collar and shoulders is made in the traditional way. The heavy-duty fabric, perfectly suited to intensive use, is thin, light and flexible enough to remain comfortable during the hottest months of the year.
The Unitika Pulper fiber is composed of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The softness and moisture-absorbing power of cotton are combined with the strength and quick-drying properties of polyester. Thanks to the Yomogi process, this aïkidogi has gained natural protection against bacteria and odors without losing its softness and comfort on the skin.
Sizes can be mixed with yomogi keikogi pants ref. AP260W.
